SC : ‘Vicious Cycle ‘Protects Zubair from Arrest in 5 UP FIRs

The Bench of Supreme Court was being seated on Monday and dealt with the a petition filed by arrested Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair.

Justice DY Chandrachund and AS Bopanna said,since the petition is not on board today, we direct that no registry to list it on July,20. In the meantime, we direct that no precipitate steps shall be taken against the petitioner in connection with any of the five FIRs without the leave of the court”.

Judges took the matter and said that Delhi police special cell is conducting a thorough probe into Zubair’s past tweets as well as alleged illegal receipt of foreign funds. A Delhi court has already granted bail to him in that case.

After agreeing with the vicious cycle argument justice Chandrachund and Bopanna called upon solicitor general Tushar Mehta who had earlier appeared for the UP government.

In the Sitapur FIR case to respond to Zubair plea .

The Supreme Court head generate five days interim bail to Zubair on 8thJuly in connection with the FIR lodged at Khairbad police station in Sitapur district and the later extended at still future order the bench is used notice to the UP government and Delhi police and posted it for future hearing.
