Rapist sentenced to 20 years in Prison within 9 days of Committing Crime

A Jaipur Court sentenced a 25-year-old man to 20 years of rigorous Imprisonment and slapped a fine of Rs. 2 Lakh for raping a 9-year-old girl, imposing the punishment within nine days of the commission of Rape.

Additional Commissioner of Police Ajay Pal Lamba stated, “All legal procedure was completed in time. All evidence, exhibits and witnesses were presented before the Honourable Court in a time-bound manner.”

The ACP further added that the Police acted quickly in the case and presented a charge sheet within 18 hours of filing the FIR.

Further, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted, “The Police arrested the accused within 13 hours and presented the charge sheet in Court in the next five hours. In four days, the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report was prepared and within five working days, the POCSO Court sentenced the accused to 20 years in jail. “

According to DCP Harendra Kumar Mahawar, the FIR was lodged at the Kot Khavda Police Station on the night of September 26.

On September 27, the accused was arrested under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and related provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

On September 28, the Court framed charges against the Accused.
