The Punjab and Haryana High Court has allowed the inspection of the comments given by Special CBI Judge, Panchkula, in the Ranjit Singh Murder Case in which Dera Sacha Sauda Chief, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is allegedly involved.

However, the High Court has not permitted to provide the copy of Judge’s comments along with the inspection order.

The High Court allowed the inspection of the CCTV footage of the Court Complex, which is part of the comments with condition to be kept in a sealed cover.

On August 24, two days prior to the final pronouncement of the Judgement reserved by the Special CBI Judge, High Court stayed their reserved Judgement in regard to the plea filed by Jagseer Singh, son of the deceased Ranjit Singh.

With the reasonable apprehension of not attaining justice, Jagseer in his plea sought for transfer of the matter to another CBI Court in Punjab, Haryana or Chandigarh, alleging that presiding Special CBI Judge in the matter has been inveigled by the accused party.

Jagseer also alleged that, the prosecutor in the case has been interfering in the trial with his manipulating representations, being involved with the plans of accused.

Permitting the plea by Jagseer, the High Court has extended the stay imposed on the final pronouncement of Judgement till the next hearing to be held, September 2.

The High Court had asked the CBI Judge to submit his comments on the petitioner’s averments.
