Prosecution opposes Anticipatory Bail Petition of accused in Rape Case

The prosecution has furiously opposed the Kerala High Court case of the anticipatory bail plea of a man alleged for raping a friend of the Olympian Mayookha Johny.

The man has also been alleged of taking nude photographs for blackmailing her.

The prosecution has reported to the Court that the accused’s potency test was not yet carried out and many more witnesses are yet to be testified hence, he should not be granted any protection on his following arrest.

The accused has stated that the complaint of rape was filed after five years of commission and has also claimed that there was blowback of differences between two factions of the Emperor Emmanuel Church.

C C Jhonson, the accused contended that when he and the victim were a part of a church and the following complaint was filed as soon as they left the church.

The lawyers representing the accused person think that this complaint is part of some conspiracy, and stated that the crime branch is also investigating the case on this prospect.

After hearing all arguments from both sides, a single bench of Justice Shircy V decided to reverse its decision on the matter.
