The letter is written to PM Modi by Swapana Suresh who was a prime accused in case of Gold Smuggling in Kerala.

In the letter she requested to pass an order of CBI inquiry in the matter as Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan is also involved with his family members.

In 2020, matter came into light that Diplomatic Cargo was used to smuggle gold from Kerala to UAE Consulate. Since last month Suresh is making allegation against CM and his family. She has stated that in 2016 CM took currency to UAE.

The Suresh clearly stated that she was used by her seniors and she only followed her senior’s instructions.

She said “I would like to bring forth to your kind notice that the person who actually committed this heinous smuggling is in fact an IAS officer Shivashankar (principal secretary of the Chief Minister of Kerala).”

“Due to the higher rank of the officials, few employees like me had to withstand the worst of this scam. I was simply obeying the orders of my line managers and doing this through the UAE consulate diplomatic channel and had no say in the matters.”

She said that this matter differ from any other scam that took place in India earlier because the offence was against India and execution of this crime is done by joining hands with other country. She alleged that NIA and custom tried manipulate the case and so it should be investigated by the CBI.

She alleged that due to the great power of people who are offenders of this crime are harassing her, her family and the NGO which is Highrange Rural Development Society where she works as Director (Women Empoerment & CSR).
