The Kerala High Court observed that the Plea for removing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photograph from the Vaccination Certificates is a dangerous proposal.

Considering the Petition which was filed by Peter Myaliparambil, Justice N Nagaresh stated “This is a very dangerous proposition. Tomorrow someone can come here and protest that they don’t like Mahatma Gandhi, and seek the removal of his image from our currency saying it’s their blood and sweat and they don’t want to see his face on it. What will happen then?”

Advocate Ajit Joy representing the petitioner then said that photo of Mahatma Gandhi was printed on the currency with Reserve Bank of India‘s regulations, whereas Prime Minister’s photograph was not affixed based on any statutory provision.

The main allegation of the Petitioner was that the Vaccination Certificate is his private space which he has rights over.

The Court will take up the case later on November 23rd.
