NCB Bengaluru seized 515 grams of Amphetamine worth ₹20 lakhs

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the Bengaluru zonal unit, has seized 515 grams of Amphetamine, a recreational narcotic drug, which is valued around ₹20 lakh, from a courier center at the Bengaluru International Airport.

NCB issued a statement which said, its Bengaluru zonal unit seized a parcel belonging to a passenger named S. Nashath from Kasaragod, Kerala, who was sending the drugs to Doha, Qatar.

The statement also mentioned that the bootleg was concealed in cricket thigh pads, hand gloves, and elbow guards. The parcel was addressed to an A. Kuzhiyal in Doha, Qatar.

Amith Ghawate, an NCB Bengaluru zonal director, told reporters that, “We have arrested Nashath from Mangaluru”. Amphetamine is also known as ‘Speed’ among users, according to an investigating officer.
