The Local Court has acquitted 4 Accused in the Muzaffarnagar Riots Case due to absence of substantial evidence.

Naeem residing in Phugana village along with his two brothers had filed a Case at Phulgana Police Station in September 28, 2013 against Yogendra, Nitin Guddu and Vishal citing that they had attacked his house along with dozens of people on 8 September.

The Complainant claims that the attackers had firearms and sharp weapons and that they had attacked his family and extorted 3 lakh rupees from his house which later they burnt down.

However, Sohrab Singh, the Defence Lawyer informed the Court that the Complainant along with his brothers, the prime witnesses in the case have turned themselves hostile.

The Court in October 2020 had acquitted 20 people due to lack of material evidence and 5 people in December.
