The Kerala High Court on Friday informed the Government to eliminate the mismatch in the Date and Venue of the Petitioner’s Vaccination details on the CoWin portal within a period of two weeks.

A Bench of Justice P V Kunhikrishnan allegedly disposed the Writ Petition filed by a 73-year-old traveling abroad to meet his children but was restricted due to incorrect details on his Vaccination Certificate.

When the issue came in light, the Government representative highlighted in the Court that an amended certificate has been sent to the Petitioner, and the Petitioner confirmed Receipt of the same.

Further the Counsel for the Petitioners highlighted that the consequential corrections were not yet made in the Cowin portal.

Furthermore, the Court demanded the Respondents to further do the necessary and disposed the Petition observing that the rectified Certificate is delivered to the Petitioner.

The Petitioner was stipulated to produce in the Court in accordance to continued negligence on the part of the concerned authorities to correct the errors.

The Petitioner had received the First Jab in March and the second in April, both from a vaccination centre in Aluva, and not Ernakulam.

Although, when the Vaccination Certificate was disclosed in July, the Certificate displayed that the second dose was jabbed in July at a Vaccination Centre in Ernakulam.
