A judicial officer in Uttar Pradesh has reportedly approached the Supreme Court, seeking permission for euthanasia after allegedly experiencing sexual harassment by a senior judge.
The officer, currently serving in a district court, claims to have sought justice through all available channels without success. Despite filing complaints with the internal complaints committee of the high court, the inquiry into the matter reportedly took six months to commence.
The officer contends that the witnesses in the inquiry were subordinates of the accused judge, creating a perceived bias. The officer now expresses a desire to end her life with dignity.
