Two Hindu based organizations filed a Petition in the Supreme Court seeking Investigation by Special Investigation Team (SIT) against leaders of Muslim Organizations, to look into the matter of the hate speeches made by Muslim leaders against Hindu God, Goddesses and Hindus in general.

The Organizations vis-a-vis Hindu Front for Justice and Hindu Sena filed an Intervention Petition in the already ongoing probe in the case of Qurban Ali and Another v. Union of India and Ors and sought Investigation by Special Investigation Team.

The already pending probe is pertaining to the Petition that was filed by former Patna High Court Judge, Justice Anjana Prakash and Qurban Ali. Both of them filed a Petition in regards with Anti-Muslim statements made at Haridwar Dharam Sansad and sought Investigation by SIT.

The current intervention Petition by the aforementioned two Hindu Organizations contended that if the Apex Court ordered for a probe into the matter of Anti-Muslim speeches then it should also order for an impartial Investigation done by the SIT relating to the Anti-Hindu speeches.

The current Petition stated, “The Applicants herein through the present application are praying to this Court to direct SIT to Investigate the hate speeches given against the members of the Hindu community, their gods and goddesses.”

The Petition also sought directions by the Supreme Court to the State Government of Uttarakhand to take actions against leaders such as Asaduddin Owaisi, Tauqeer Raza, Sajid Rashidi, Amanatullah Khan and Waris Pathan, by filing First Information Reports (FIR) against them as they are the ones who made the Alleged Anti-Hindu statements.
