The Gujarat High Court strongly condemned the sacrifice of innocent animals in the Kheda district’s Nadiad area, expressing dismay over cattle carcasses found in multiple locations.
Justices Ashutosh Shastri and Hemant Prachchhak emphasized that, under the pretext of implementing policies to address the stray cattle issue, sacrificing innocent animals is unacceptable.
The court stated it would not permit such sacrifices for human convenience and urged immediate intervention to prevent further incidents.
The matter arose during the hearing of petitions seeking contempt action against the State government for its failure to address the stray cattle menace and regulate traffic laws.
