Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was charged with a Misdemeanor Sexual Violation in a Court in Albany, the state capital, the first prosecution arising from a misbehavior scandal that led to his resignation.

The Albany County Sheriff’s Office filed a Complaint Accusing Cuomo of grabbing a woman under her top, which was confirmed by Lucian Chalfen, a spokesperson for the New York State Courts, in an emailed statement, calling the Alleged Act a “Sex Crime.”

“Specifically, the Victim’s left breast for the purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires, all contrary to the Provisions of the Statute in such Case made and provided,” the Complaint said.

Cuomo resigned in August after State Attorney General Letitia James conducted a months-long investigation into allegations that he Sexually Assaulted 11 people, including current and former state employees.

Cuomo has denied all allegations of Sexual Misconduct or Harassment. Following his resignation, he said the report was Politicized and that there was a rush to Judgment.
