The Delhi High Court has restrained Tractor2Twitter from making any defamatory comments or posts against the News Channel Aajtak after the Court observed that the posts were not only objectionable, but had abusive language.

The decision comes after Aajtak approached Court against the social media page Tractor2Twitter, alleging the latter for defaming and tampering the reputation of not only the news channel, but also the employees that work across their social media platforms.

The channel alleged that the social media page Tractor2Twitter was using channels logo on various posts thereby calling them anti-farmer or toxic.

Furthermore, the channel alleged that Tractor2Twitter has deliberately tried to cause harm to the reputation of the channel by asking its followers and subscribers to use a derogatory hashtag which includes the channel name.

In conclusion, the Court observed that the social media page was prima facie responsible for defaming the channel and thus directed its owners to restrain themselves from using any abusive language or any post therein that goes against the News Channel Aajtak.

The Court further directed the social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Telegram to remove all such posts, articles or content that was earlier used in order to defame the news channel and also block the web links that relied upon the same.
