The Delhi High Court has issued notice to the Centre and sought for response in the plea filed by YouTuber Karl Rock’s Wife.

New Zealand national, Karl Rock has been blacklisted for entering in India by the Indian Government.

Karl has earlier accused the Indian Government for denying his entry without specification of any reason.

Karl Rock’s wife, Manisha Malik who is an Indian has filed a plea before the Delhi High Court against Karl’s arbitrary and unreasonable ban to enter India, due to which they have been now separated for many months.

“The petitioner, by virtue of denial of a visa to her husband who has been arbitrarily blacklisted by the Respondents, is deprived from living with her husband thereby violating her fundamental right to life and dignity as guaranteed under Article 21,” Malik argued in her plea.

The vacation bench headed by Justice Rekha Palli directed the Centre for communicating the justifiable reasons for the blacklisting to either Karl or his wife.

In response to the plea, the Court has provided three weeks to the Centre to file a Counter-Affidavit.

The Court has further listed the matter to be heard on September 23.
