The Delhi High Court will hear the petition challenging the tender conditions of the Delhi Government’s New Excise Policy 2021-22.

The petition will be presented before the division bench comprising of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh, which is dealing with other pleas in a similar matter.

The division bench comprising of Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Jasmeet Singh observed, Since the Chief Justice led bench is aware of the scope of controversy with respect to the new Excise policy, it is appropriate that the plea challenging the tender conditions for being unreasonable, is also presented before the same bench.”

In regard to the pleas challenging the New Excise Policy, notice was issued to the Centre and the Delhi Government for responding in the matter.

Claiming stay on the policy by the issue of interim relief in favour of the petition was denied by the High Court today and further posted the matter to be heard on July 20.
