The Delhi Court on Friday quashed a Stay Order issued against singer and actor Honey Singh, which barred him from creating any third-party rights in immovable and movable property owned by him or through his companies in UAE.

Honey Singh was also asked to produce documents of his companies which are registered abroad.

The matter was adjudicated by the Metropolitan Magistrate Tania Singh.

Senior Advocate Rebecca John who represented Honey Singh contended that Court of law hearing a domestic matter cannot pass an order pertaining to a company.

Further the Advocate argued that a restraint on the business cannot be created.

After due arguments, Justice Singh vacated the stay order issued on 15.09.2021 and the said companies are allowed to function without restrain.

Thereafter, Honey Singh assured that they will not sell the identified Villa in the mean time till next date of hearing which is going to be held on 28th September, 2021.

The Court was hearing a complaint case filed against the Bollywood Singer by his wife Shalini Talwar under the “Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act”.

Shalini Talwar is represented by Mr. Sandeep Kapur, Ms Apoorva Pandey and Mr GG Kashyap from Karanjawala.

Singer’s wife claimed that Honey Singh executed a General Power of Attorney dated 19th November, 2019, duly registered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in favour of her and has been given control over all his movable and immovable property.

The matter is now listed for further arguments on September 28, 2021.
