Delhi Court seeks ATR on Complaint against Karni Sena Chief & Dasna Devi Priest

Delhi Court has asked for an Action Taken Report (ATR) from the Police concerning a plea which sought First Information Report (FIR) against Karni Sena Chief and Dasna Devi Temple Priest for their allegedly communally provocative speeches against the Muslim community.

Metropolitan Magistrate Rajat Goyal has ordered the Police to give its response on whether any complaint was made against the Karni Sena Chief and Dasna Devi Temple Priest by the complainant Faizal Ahmed Khan and if there is any complaint then what action has been taken and the status of the investigation.

The complainant, a law teacher reached the Court after the Station House Officer (SHO) denied taking the copy of the complaint about registration of FIR against Amu and Narsinghanand.

The Criminal Complaint was filed through Advocates Sarim Naved, Kamran Javed, and Anshu Davar.

The complaint stated that “Persons belonging to the Muslim community as their enemies and incited them to take violent action against them.”

The Complainant has further alleged, “The accused intentionally insulted prominent central universities like Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia, clearly aiming to target the Muslim community as these institutions are popularly associated with the Muslim community”.
