A Delhi court adjourned hearing till 8th April in the bail application filed by Deep Sidhu, the accused in the Red Fort violence case in connection with the farmer’s tractor rally on Republic Day.

The case was adjourned by Additional Sessions Judge Satish Kumar after the hearing was cancelled due to a change in the roster for Additional Sessions Judge Charu Aggarwal’s court.

After finding that the earlier proceedings in the matter were heard by other Courts, District and Sessions Judge Girish Kathpalia transferred the bail application filed by Deep Sidhu to the Court of Additional Sessions Judge Charu Aggarwal, stating that it will be fitting for the District and Sessions Judge to determine which Court would hear the bail application further.

The case was then transferred to the Additional Session judge Satish Kumar, who set an April 8th date for the next hearing.

While adjourning the case, the judge further requested that the State file a response before the next hearing date.

Advocate Abhishek Gupta, along with four other advocates represents Deep Sidhu, while Additional Public Prosecutor Gyan Prakash Ray represents the State.
