A special MP-MLA court sentenced two-year jail to Former Congress MP Annu Tandon in connection with the political agitation case.

Annu Tandon with other Congress workers was charged with agitating the crowd and blocking train number 18191 in Unnao during a protest. 

After investigation, Sub-Inspector Mithlesh Kumar Yadav filed a charge sheet against the accused under Section 174(A) of the Railway Act. 

Besides Tandon, the judge P.K. Rai awarded the same punishment to other convicts including former Unnao district Congress chief Surya Narayan Yadav, city president Amit Shukla and state chief of Youth Congress Ankit Parihar.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 25,000 on each of the convicts and granted interim bail.
