The Court last year permitted the de-freezing of the bank accounts of Rhea Chakraborty, who was surfaced in the drugs Case which was busted during the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death investigation.

The Court now has Ordered Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to defreeze the bank accounts of the other two Accused in the mentioned Case.

The Court had passed this Order after hearing the Plea filed by Jai Madhok and Zaid Vilatra.

In the Plea, Jai Madhok stated that he was informed by the bank authorities that he may not be able to carry out the transactions as the accounts are being freezed by the NCB. But the same was not mentioned to the Magistrate by the Investigating Officer.

The Order to de-freeze accounts was passed by the Additional Sessions Judge DB Mane who stated that, “De-freeze the banks accounts. The Absence of such report infers the act of the investigating officer as illegal.”

However, NCB is still opposing this Plea citing that the Case is still ongoing.

The Special NDPS Court had imposed some restrictions after which her bank accounts were de-freezed. The Court had asked her submit an written undertaken along with an affidavit stating that whenever required, during the pendency and the conclusion of trial she will make all the balance amount available as shown in the accounts.
