Three Accused Imprisoned in Matter of Bihar Teacher’s Appointment Scam

A Special Judge of CBI Court convicted Sh. Nakul Mandal for Rigorous Imprisonment of five years and Sh. Mandareswar Bhagat for Rigorous Imprisonment of four years along with fine of rupees 5,000 respectively.

The Patna High Court in the case of Scam in State Education Department in Bihar passed an order in adherence to which the CBI has registered the case.

It was alleged after completion of investigation that in the year 1982 to 1988 by way of impersonation, forgery and cheating accused get appointed as Primary teachers and other teachers in the government schools.

The offence was done by conspiring with some middleman who is public servant and from the Officials of District or Block Education.

On December 20, 2013 the CBI had filed charge sheet in CBI Cases Court.

Investigation revealed that Nakul Mandal along with his relative Mandareswar Bhagat got fraudulently appointed not only in one school as Primary Teacher but in government school of Mayurnachan, Katoria and Banka. They impersonate to be Udeshwar Harijan and withdrawn the salary under in his name.

The Trial Court found the accused guilty and punished them with Rigorous Imprisonment.
