Bombay High Court granted anticipatory bail to Sherlyn Chopra for Publishing Pornographic content

In the obscenity case registered against Actress Sherlyn Chopra, Bombay High Court today granted anticipatory bail.

Mumbai Police registered FIR against Actress Sherlyn Chopra at the Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police under various sections of the Indecent Representation of Women Act and Information Technology Act.

In the directions Bombay High Court bench said that Sherlyn Chopra to be present before the Investigating Officer on given dates, and after that as and when required in the Investigation.

Bombay High Court bench also directed that in case Actress Sherlyn Chopra is arrested in the case, she will have to be released on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 25,000 and one or two securities.

Previously Mumbai sessions court rejected her plea before Sherlyn Chopra approached the High Court.

What is the Matter?

On a complaint lodged at cyber cell Mumbai Police for publishing Pornographic content on internet websites. Mumbai Police cyber cell, after Investigation registered an FIR against Sherlyn Chopra last year.
