Bombay HC directs Mumbai Police Commissioner to inquiry woman allegations against MP Sanjay Raut

Serious allegations have been framed on Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut by a female psychiatrist in Mumbai.

The women filed a writ petition in Bombay High Court, she puts the allegation on MP Sanjay Raut that he has harassed her for the last seven years and has hired people to keep her under surveillance

Mumbai police have been also named as the defendant in the petition therefore the Court took cognizance and ordered the Mumbai Police Commissioner to look into this matter and submit a status report for the same on June 24.

The woman’s advocate Abha Singh told the High Court that after the petition was filed by the woman, she was arrested in a non-cognizable offence case, where it has been alleged that she produced a fake PhD degree.

“The petitioner has been in jail for ten days now. After she filed the petition in HC, the entire police machinery has been unleashed on her now. This is complete vindictiveness and mala fide action,” Abha Singh brought to the notice of the Court

The bench consisted of Justices S.S Shinde and N.J Jamadar.

Nilesh Rane, BJP leader targeted Sanjay Raut in his tweet and said that,” I request everyone to circulate this as much as possible because Marathi media won’t show this. This woman has been tortured by Sanjay Raut for many years, she was arrested two weeks back for something she didn’t do. He has made her life a living hell.”

The matter would be further heard by the Court on June 24.
