In the House of Representatives in United State of America two Congresswomen Carolyn Bourdeaux and Maria Elvira Salazar introduced a Bill for granting Automatic Right to Work to H-4 Visa holders.

H-4 Visa is provided to those who accompany the holders of H-1B, H-2B and H-3 as they are Dependent Spouses and Children.

According to the current Law such people has to File an Application for Form 1- 765 which is Employment Authorisation Document (EAD) so that they will be authorized to work in United State of America.

There is problem of shortage of labour in United State of America and many people because of long process has to wait sometimes a year to get a job so to bridge this gap it will be an effective step.

“Right now, the Spouses of Highly-Skilled Immigrants have to fight through years of Bureaucratic red tape before they are allowed to work in the United States,” said by Bourdeaux

“This Bill removes these needless barriers to ensure families can contribute and prosper together. If we are going to continue to be competitive and attract the greatest minds and talent around the world, we must ensure that the family members of high-value immigrants are able to build a life and career in the United States, just like everyone else,” she added.

Now, to get Employment Authorisation Document people have to wait for six to eight months and some have to wait for one year because of the many Applications are pending with United State Citizenship and Immigration Service.

But this Bill will solve the problem and United State Citizenship and Immigration Service can give Work Authorisation to H-4 Visa holder in no time.
