Ban ‘Priya’ until the verdict is out: Petition in MP HC seeks stay on release of Sushant’s film

A petition has been filed in the High Court of Madhya Pradesh seeking a stay on the release of the short film ‘Priya’ on late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Mahesh Kumar Vishwakarma, the petitioner from Jabalpur, stated that the short film, made by Jabalpur Flix Film Production on SSR is scheduled for screening on 25th November.

Advocate KK Rajak, appearing for the petitioner, claimed that since the CBI is investigating the actor’s death case, the release should be halted.

The petition stated that the Bollywood actor’s debut in Dhoni film gave him a huge fan-base as he made the cricketer’s life immortal with his acting, his fans are looking forward to knowing the reason behind the actor’s death.

Various opinions have formed in the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death mystery. Claims and counter-claims have emerged.

Any attempt of showing the life of SSR via film can influence the trial.

The petition urged to ban the film’s release until the verdict is out.
