While passing a Bail Verdict, Justice Shekhar Kumar Yadav highlighted the rising Cases of Omicron variant and possibility of third wave and also sought the Prime Minister Modi to take necessary steps and consider halting and postponing the rallies, meetings and elections in UP.

Justice Yadav stated in his Order that, “Today again, elections to Vidhan Sabha in UP are near, for which parties are holding rallies and meetings and gathering crowds of lakhs. It is not possible to observe Covid Protocol in such programmes. If this is not stopped in time, then the result will be more frightening than the second wave.”

He also advised that if it is feasible then the PM should think of postponing the February scheduled elections by one or two months because if “life continues, then the rallies will prolong.”

Justice Yadav applauded Prime Minister for the Corona-free vaccination in the nation with such a huge population.

But he also added that the prime Minister should take some strong measures for this upcoming variant and also should rethink about stopping and postponing the election rallies, meetings and elections itself.

Justice Yadav inferred, “Jaan hai toh Jahan hai.”
