The Karnataka High Court orally stated that advocates and parties appearing in matters being heard before the court should not post anything on social media about the matters that have been discussed in the court.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) filed a batch of petitions on the same matter.

Division Bench of Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice Aravind Kumar heard the petition.

The court requested the alleged lawyer to not post about the matters discussed in the Court on social media.

The court further requested him to go slow on his tweets.

The advocate under charges clearly stated that nothing was posted on twitter with a malafide intention.

During the court proceedings, the Court questioned the State government, Centre, and BBMP on the availability of beds, oxygen cylinders and amount of vaccination doses available in the State.

The court also stated that the vaccination situation in the State is horrifying and remaining vaccines should be first given to the people who have already received their first dose and then to the people who are yet to take their first dose.

Frontline workers should be given second priority.

The matter is further listed to be heard on May 11.
