Advocate sentenced two week jail for being in compromising position during virtual hearing

The Bench of Madras High Court comprised of Justice P N Prakash and Justice AA Nakkiran had initiated the Contempt proceeding against the Krishnan and asked him to pay 4 lakhs rupees compensation.

The accused had justified that he is not technologically sound and that is why this problem came to him, he had a respect for the court.

Court had denied these justifications by stating that if he had done such act in his personal life by going offline no one have bothered but he was on virtual hearing while he was performing it.

So, he has to take the liability of his act in public, women had seemed as associates in the same case had to suffer mental stress and trauma because of their destitute background and this suffering will be there for whole life.

The Court threw a light by stating that women who is seen with the advocate in virtual hearing was not prosecuted because of her circumstances and she was a prey to his lechery.

Along with the amount of compensation of 4 lakhs rupees the advocate was sentenced two weeks jail by Madras High Court. The action in the case is taken suo motto by the High Court.

The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the meantime has suspended him from practicing in any court.
