United States President, Joe Biden signed a legislation to counter the spike in hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders during the pandemic.

Biden praised Democrats as well as Republicans for approving the bill and sending it to the White house for his approval.

While in the campaigns, Biden has always stressed over uniting the country by fighting hate and racism, signing this legislation, he urged people to change their heart and mind.

To such enforcement, a position at Justice Department will be established to speed the agency’s review of hate crimes, expanding the channels of such reporting and improve data collection of attacks targeting Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders.

While several dozens of lawmakers attended the law signing ceremony, Kamala Harris and law makers, at the end of the program, surrounded Biden as he sat on the desk to sign it into law.
