The Delhi High Court rejected a plea on Covid Vaccines seeking to waive the clinical trials of foreign vaccines and prioritize giving second dose to those who have received their first dose.

A bench of Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh rejected the plea considering the same to be a decision of the state policy.

The bench, in rejecting the petition, stated that no such prioritization could be granted because it has become fashionable for Delhi residents to approach the court for the same purpose, despite the fact that the government has its own priorities as well.

While the prayer also pleaded for seeking information regarding the vaccines ordered by the government for the vaccination drive, the same was also rejected, to which the court said that the same can be asked under Right to Information act by filing writ petition and not a plea.

In conclusion, the court on the issue of bottling of the vaccines held that it is a technical aspect to be dealt by experts and not by the court.
