Rameshwar Prasad & Ors vs. Union of India:
This case is popularly known as the Bihar Assembly Dissolution Case. This primarily relates to the subject matter of Election Law which paved way for free and fairer elections in India. The main issue that was addressed in this case is Legality of the post -election re-alignment.
The judgement was given by a 5- Judge Constitutional bench headed by Y.K Sabharwal, which led to permanent development in the electoral process.

Delhi Sealing Drive Controversy:
A group of jurists and intellectuals has filed a complaint with the CBI and the Central Vigilance commission seeking registration of an FIR against former Chief Justice of India YK Sabharwal on charges of corruption. The group, known as the Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Judicial Reforms (CJAR), demanded that the FIR be lodged under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to them Justice Sabharwal dealing with the Delhi sealing case and passing orders for sealing commercial establishments at a time when his sons, staying with him, were getting business partnerships with shopping mall developers, who stood to gain from sealing, amount to offence and it was not right.
