He has contested the Dholai seat four times. He is contesting from Dholai for the fifth time on a BJP ticket.

State Forest & Environment Minister Parimal Suklabaidya laid the foundation stone for renovation of the drinking-water supply project at Dwarbond in the Borjalenga development block under the Dholai Assembly Constituency with an allocation of 88,35,000 lakhs under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jal Jeevan Mission’.

Assam is currently producing 3.73 lakh metric tons of fish annually.
