BACKGROUND

He started as an advocate of the Supreme Court who likes to take Civil cases. Later he developed his interest in Inter-State Water Dispute and Specialised in that area. He has represented several states before the Supreme Court and Inter-State Water Disputes Tribunals in the Water Disputes concerning the rivers Cauvery, Krishna, Ravi Beas, and Mahadayi.

At present, he is representing the States of Karnataka and Odisha and the National Capital Territory of Delhi. He was designated as Senior Advocate in 2019.

He has published several papers on transboundary water law and Constitution. He presented his papers in national and international conferences and seminars. It Includes the Regional Conference on Water Resources at Teslic, Bosnia & Hercegovina (2001); International Water Law Conference at Colorado Law School, Boulder, U.S.A (2002); and Inter-State & International Water Disputes Seminar conducted by WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (2013).

He is the former Vice President of Bar Association of India, member of the Board of Management and Planning, Karnataka State Law University, and member of the KSLU’s Student Law Review and Bangalore University’s Law College Journal.

He is also the Honorary Visiting Professor of Law at Bangalore University’s Law College. He is an author at ‘The Leaflets’ and ‘Deccan Herald’ where he publishes his opinion regarding the various societal and legal disputes.
