Mansukh Mandaviya is an Indian Politician who is the current Minister of State for Shipping and Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers since 2019. He is politically affiliated to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)

BACKGROUND- Mansukh Mandaviya was born to Late Laxmanbhai Mandaviya a small-scale farmer and Shamuben Mandaviya on 1 June 1972 he’s the youngest amongst the 4 brothers. He married Geeta Mandaviya in the year 1995 and they’ve two children Pavan and Disha.

UPBRINGING & EDUCATION- Mansukh Mandaviya hails from Hanol, Bhavnagar district, Gujarat. He completed his primary education from Government Primary School, Hanol, Secondary schooling from Songadh Gurukul, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Bhavnagar University.

WALK OF LIFE- Mansukh Mandaviya started his political career at a very young age. He became a member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the year 1992 when he was 20 years old. Furthermore, he was made the State Executive Member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad, Gujarat due to his extraordinary capabilities. He was additionally designated as head of Yuva Morcha and afterward the leader of the Palitana BJP unit.

He won from the Palitana constituency and became the youngest MLA in Gujarat state in the year 2002. In the year 2011, he was the Chairman of Gujarat Agro Industries Corporation Limited. In the year 2012, he became a member of the Rajya Sabha and till 2018.

He also served as Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Chemical and Fertilizers in the year 2016. In the year 2018, he was re-elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha. On 30th May 2019, he took charge of the Ministry of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, and Chemicals and Fertilizers.

MAJOR INITIATIVES TAKEN- He took major initiatives for increasing the per day road construction speed and decreasing the cost of Urea and fertilizers. And took major steps for establishing more than 5200 Jan Aushadhi stores for providing more than 850 medicines at an economical rate and was also successful in reducing the cost of Heart Stent and Knee Implants. Also, sanitary pad packets amounting to 10 crores were distributed for Rs 10 a packet.
