BACKGROUND – Letpao Haokip is an Indian politician and member of the National People’s Party. Haokip was first elected as an MLA from Chandel constituency as a National People’s Party candidate in 2017. Currently he is the State Minister for Irrigation and Flood Control (IFC) as well as Youth Affairs and Sports.

He was born on 18th January 1976 to Tongkhothang Haokip. He is a resident of Aihang Village, Chandel, Manipur. He is married to Vungneineng. He is also a social worker and a contractor.
