BACKGROUND – Mr. Avineet Singh is Assistant Lecturer of Law at O.P. Jindal Global University. Avineet Singh was born on 22nd May 1994 in Patiala. He pursued B.A.LL.B from Punjab School of Law, Punjabi University and graduated in 2017. While pursuing his graduation, Mr. Avineet has been an active mooter.  

After graduating, he practiced at District and Session Court, Patiala & Punjab and Haryana Court for a year with a senior advocate. While practicing he was responsible for drafting & pleading in Criminal & Civil Litigation matters at District Courts & High Court, representing clients in trials (both criminal and civil), conducting research, arbitration matters, mediation, testamentary matters, CBI cases and Consumer Protection Cases. Then Mr. Avineet went on to complete his LL.M from the Queen Mary University of London in the year 2018.

His specialization in LL.M. was Comparative and International Dispute Resolution. He wrote his LL.M. dissertation on the topic of ‘A Pragmatic Analysis of criticisms against Investor-State Dispute Settlement System’. After his masters, Mr. Avineet joined academics. Since 2th November, 2020 he is working as an assistant lecturer of law at Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat.Mr. Avineet has participated in several national and international conferences and has published articles in journals.     

LIFE AS AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – Mr. Avineet started his academic career in 2020 and since then he has taught a variety of subjects namely; Commercial Contract Drafting, Arbitration, Law of Contracts and Law of Torts and Consumer Protection Act. Mr. Avineet believes in interactive methods of teaching and believes that interaction is the best of learning than a seminar lecture.
