BACKGROUND –
Anadish is of Bengali origin. After dropping out of college (All India Institute of Medical Sciences
(AIIMS)) in 1982, he started prototyping in electronics, which was his passion when he was in Gorakhpur
living with his mother.
With no resources for education, he started to learn and experience things
practically. He designed a DXing radio receiver when he was 14 years old, which never worked;
however, later he designed his own circuit and made all the PCBs himself. The trial-and-error process
made him more experienced and he started doing freelancing projects for companies such as Maruti
Udyog, Honda, the National Institute for the Visually Handicapped.
In 2000, Honda Power product’s
engineering department in Uttarakhand had designed a charging Genset with a technical flaw. So, the
Indian Army didn’t give the Genset clearance. Pal designed an SMPS-based voltage regulator for the
Genset, after which it was accepted by the army. This was his first achievement after which he didn’t look
back. It was like a loop in which Anadish would always work on some new invention.
He is the country’s only independent inventor with nine US patents. His first patent was for an
“Arrangement for using induction motor as a sensor to sense its own rotation when electrical power is not
being supplied to it” His most recent patent was for a “Gravity modulator and gravity-modulation
reception ”
MAJOR INITIATIVES-
He took the initiative of saving trees in Delhi and in that regard seems to have come under various threats
from an anti-tree lobby.

CONTROVERSIES/CASES –
In 2008, he protested against the illegal girdling of a tree near his area. He was not just threatened, but a
criminal case was also registered against him at a police station in the Giridih district of Jharkhand. It was
done on behalf of a councilor, who was responsible for the felling of the tree.
He also filed a civil
defamation suit of R20 lakh against Pal.
