In Jharkhand High Court, a letter petition has been filed to take a suo motu cognisance of alleged dishonesty in the Minority Scholarship Scheme at a pre-metric level in the state.
The letter has been filed by Advocate Md Shadab Ansari, alleging corruption in the Minority Scholarship fund.
He stated that the authentication of the Aadhar card was being wrongly used, and payments were made under the scheme to those who are not even students.
He further said, “Due to the above corruption, many deserving poor students did not get the benefit of the scholarship, whereas many non-eligible persons have got the scholarship amount.”
Adv Ansari has asked for a proper investigation against the persons involved in corruption.
