India with the more than 4.7 Million Coronavirus cases and around 80K Deaths maintaining second position in world tally amongst most affected country in the world.

India touching the mark of 1 Million mark of active coronavirus cases. It is the highest most in the world after US where 2.5 Million active cases are reported so far.

Today on Sunday India reported more than 90, 000 covid-19 cases. It is the fourth consecutive day when India reported more than 90,000 cases of covid-19 on a daily basis.

Today in a Press briefing Union Health Ministry Dr. Harsh Vardhan said- Vaccine likely by early 2021, will be given to elderly, frontline workers first.  

“Issues like vaccine security, cost, equity, cold-chain requirements, production timelines, etc, are also being discussed intensely,”

He assured the vaccine would be first made available to those who need it the most, irrespective of their paying capacity. Union Minister also said he would be happy to take the first dosage of the vaccine if some people have a trust deficit.

The latest spike of coronavirus cases, the count of covid-19 cases stands at 47,54,357. Death toll due to coronavirus in the country is 78,586 after 1,114 deaths due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Union Health Ministry tweeted.”India’s COVID-19 recoveries have witnessed a steep exponential rise – from 50,000 in May to over 36 lakhs in September. A high level of more than 70,000 recoveries reported every day.

Recoveries are nearly 3.8 times the Active Cases (under 1/4 total cases),” Continuing the trend of reporting highest number of COVID-19 infections,

Maharashtra on Saturday added 22,084 new cases, taking the total caseload to 10,37,765, state health department said. Karnataka today also reported 9,140 new coronavirus cases taking the total number of infections to 4,49,551 while the death toll touched 7,161 with 94 fatalities.

Yet, India’s recovery rate continues to rise and now stands at 77.9 percent. ‘Unlock 4.0’ is underway. Globally, there have been over 2.88 crore confirmed cases of COVID-19 and More than 9.2 lakh people have died so far.

Indian Gornment is fully prepared for the 18-day Monsoon Session from Monday under the shadow of the coronavirus pandemic with many arrangements in Parliament, including sitting of the two Houses in shifts without any off day, entry only to those having a negative COVID-19 report and compulsory wearing of masks.
