The Delhi High Court has stayed the summons proceedings issued by the Enforcement Directorate against Jammu and Kashmir’s former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. The matter is listed for further hearing.

A Division Bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and Hairam Bhambhani was hearing a petition filed by the former Chief Minister challenging the summons order that mandated her presence before the ED.

The said petition challenges section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) as violative of the Right to protection against self incrimination guaranteed under Article 20(3) of the Indian Constitution.
