Abdul Rehman, an MLA from AAP, has been found guilty by a Delhi court on Saturday for physically assaulting and intimidating a government school principal back in 2009.
Asma, the MLA’s wife, has also been convicted for causing minor injuries to the same public servant.
The court stated that the prosecution had provided enough evidence to prove that both Abdul Rehman and Asma had acted together in intimidating and assaulting the victim, who was carrying out her official duties at the time of the incident.
According to the prosecution, Asma had slapped the victim while she was serving as principal of SKV School, Jafrabad, Delhi, while Abdul Rehman had entered the school with a group of people and threatened to harm her using abusive language.
