On 9th December 2020, the Rajasthan High Court adjourned the hearing of the plea filed by Salman Khan, a Bollywood actor.

The plea filed was about the quashing of the First Information Report’s (FIR) filed against him.

The FIR alleged him for making casteist remarks against the Valmiki community during the promotion of his film “Tiger Zinda Hai” on a TV show in 2017.

There were two FIRs filed against him. One was filed in Jodhpur and the other one was filed in the Churu Districts.

Therefore, Salman Khan’s counsel moved the matter to the Rajasthan High Court.

The High Court granted an adjournment until the Supreme Court hears a similar pending petition.

The petition was allowed, and the court put a stay on the investigation for both the FIRs.
