Ravindra Choubey is an Indian Representative and the Member of Indian National Congress Party. His Electorate Region is Saja, Chhattisgarh. He was born on 28th May, 1957 to Devi Prasad Chaubey and Kumari Devi.

In the year 1977-78 he passed B.Sc from Pandit Ravishanker University Raipur and in the year 1981-82, he passed L.L.B passed from Surana College, Durg, from he was elected for the first time as an Elected Member of Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly subsequently in 1990,1993,1998,2003 and for sixth time in 2008 as an elected member of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly.

He was also the Member of the Public Accounts Committee, Committee on Public Sector Undertaking, Estimates, Rules, Assurance, and Petition of Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha.

In the year 1987, he was the President of the co-operative central consumer forum, District Durg. From the year 1990 – 1992, he was the Vice President of the Youth Congress of Madhya Pradesh. In the Year 1995, he was the Minister of State Govt. of M.P. Higher Education (Independent Charge) and the Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy.

In the year 2003, he was the Chairman of the Public Accounts and the Sub Committee; he was also the Member of the Business Advisory Committee; and member of the Committee on Ethics, in the Vidhan Sabha of Chhattisgarh.

On the year 2006, he was the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee of the Vidhan Sabha of Chhattisgarh. On 5th January 2009, he was elected as the Leader of Opposition, in the Vidhan Sabha of Chhattisgarh.
