The Supreme Court will examine the petition filed by DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, once the service to the respondents gets completed.
DMK leader Kanimozhi Karunanidhi in her petition challenged the Madras High Court order to dismiss a petition filed by one of the voters A Santhana Kumar, who challenged her election as the Thoothukudi during the general elections.
A division bench led by Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde was hearing the appeal that claimed that the Madras High Court had falsely relied on Kumar’s petition which contained irrelevant facts.
Kanimozhi’s lawyer, P Wilson, pleaded before the court the dismissal of Kumar’s litigation.
