On 4 September, a Special CBI Court in Mumbai granted Bail to Radha Kapoor Khanna(daughter) and Bindu Kapoor(wife) of Rana Kapoor.
Radha Kapoor along with her mother was accused in a bank fraud case.
They both were named as accused in a recent supplementary chargesheet by CBI along with Belief Realtors Private Limited, RKW Developers Private Limited; DOIT Urban Ventures (India) Private Limited, a company registered in the name of Mr. Kapoor’s daughters in the chargesheet but were never arrested.
Taking the notice of chargesheet, the court summoned them and asked to appear before the court.
Advocate Vijay Agarwal and Advocate Rahul Agarwal represented them and filed their Bail application.
They both argued before the Court that there was no need of arresting them as the probe is over and the chargesheet is filed.
While the Court asked time to give reply to the plea, the mother-daughter duo requested for Interim Bail.
The Special Judge S U Wadgaonkar allowed them Bail.
The Court has fixed the next hearing on 8 September.
Currently, Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor is under Judicial Custody.
