SC’s Full Court Decides to Begin Live Streaming of Constitution Bench Hearings from Sep 27

The Supreme Court of India has agreed to start live streaming of the Constitution bench matters starting on Tuesday, September 27.

The decision was made on Tuesday evening during a full court meeting called by Chief Justice of India UU Lalit.

According to sources, the decision was unanimous, and the proceedings would first be broadcast live on YouTube.

The Supreme Court will soon create its own website to conduct a live broadcast of hearings.

Important constitutional cases, such as the constitutionality of the reservation for the Economically Weaker Section, are now being heard by the Supreme Court of India.

The Bohra community’s right to excommunicate, the appropriateness of compensation for the Bhopal Gas tragedy, the retroactive application of arrest immunity, the legitimacy of the All India Bar Examination, and the scope of the Supreme Court’s direct hearing authority are some of the other Constitution Bench cases that are scheduled to start soon.
