The Bench comprising Justices DY Chandrachud, AS Bopanna and JB Pardiwala expressed dissatisfaction with the admission of the matter. It also said that there is no space for interference when the IIT-JEE(Advanced) exam is scheduled to happen on Sunday.

Advocate Shoeb Alam, who appeared for the petitioners, stated that the Hon’ble court had allowed 15 students to attend the additional session of IIT-JEE(Mains) Exam held in June after they experienced difficulties due to technical glitches.

The counsel also stated that technical glitches, which they claimed had adversely affected the performance of the aggrieved students. Also, Invigilators were unable to help resolve glitches, and new issues cropped up thereafter.

There was a discrepancy in the final score when compared to the options marked was seen.

Even after various petitions sent to NTA since June 2022, there has been no response to the same. On 29.07.2022 relief was granted to only the petitioners in the said matter. On 28.07.2022, the NTA apprised some selected candidates via e-mail that they would be allowed to appear for an additional session to be conducted on 30.07.2022.

The petitioner also argued that the manner in which the opportunity was given to a selected few by the NTA to retake the examination was arbitrary.

There seem to be discrepancies in the final scores of the second session, which was held in July 2022.

The precautionary security measures and re-notificarion of the said examination taken in UGC-NET Examination were not taken in JEE Mains.

Therefore, the court dismissed the plea.
