The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has raided Mumbai police officer Sunil Mane’s offices in Andheri in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and the subsequent death of businessman Mansukh Hiran.

The NIA raided offices of arrested Mumbai Police inspector Sunil Mane in Andheri and Kandivali and further seized a red car along with some documents. He was also taken to various locations related to the crime as a part of the probe.

Allegedly, Inspector Sunil Mane was present at a meeting between Sachin Vaze and Riyaz Kazi at Chakkala and involved in passing SIM cards procured from Sachin Vaze to other officials involved in the case. He also pressurized businessman Mansukh Hiren to take up responsibility for the Antilia bomb scare.

The official said, “Mane was called by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for questioning on Thursday for his alleged role in the Ambani security scare and Mansukh Hiran murder cases”.

Mane was suspended on Saturday after his arrest by NIA and a special NIA court in Mumbai has remanded him to central probe agency’s custody till April 28. Mane was earlier in charge of Unit 11 (Kandivali) of Mumbai crime branch.
