The Telangana Police had gone before Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Nampally to seek seven day custody of Saduddin Malik who is 18 years old in case of rape of minor girl in Hyderabad.

The Court granted police custody of three days. Malik was arrested on June 3 and sent to Chanchalguda jail on a judicial remand.

The police stated in the Court that interrogation needs to be done to take out more information about the offence. Malik was the one who forced the victim to sit in Mercedes Benz and then transferred her to Innova where rape took place.

The Malik will be brought in the Police station on June 9 and then on June 12 he will be sent to jail again.

On the other side of the case five juveniles involved in the case and has put under the custody of Juvenile Court. The Juveniles filed petition, each one separately, for bail in the juvenile Court and Police also filed petitions for demanding custody of the Juveniles.

The Congress Committee President of Telangana A Revanth Reddy questioned that why police didn’t register case against the car owner confiscated by police in the case.

“Hyderabad police commissioner C V Anand has admitted that the vehicle had Telangana government sticker and the juvenile accused who had used it had removed the sticker and wiped out all the evidence. When the commissioner said the car was driven by a minor, why hasn’t he questioned the car owner?” Reddy asked.

Home Minister of State Mohammed Mehmood Ali stated that no one will be spared no matter that the accused belongs to how much politically influential family.

“They (police) are probing the case without any partiality; and there is absolutely no pressure from the government on the police. We will do justice to the rape victim and her family,” Ali said.
